Hello, My name is Andrea Stephen, and I am a Resident in Counseling who creates an environment that is warm and welcoming with a smile that lights the room! I believe in encouraging and empowering individuals to become the very best version of themselves. I am an ordained minister, wife, mother, grandmother, and entrepreneur. I have over 29 years of experience in a higher education setting. I am passionate about helping individuals find creative pathways to their healing.
I have a BS in Communications from Old Dominion University, MS in Human Services from Capella University, MA in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University and Ed.S in Counseling from Old Dominion University.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy to include Person-centered, Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Strength-Based interventions to adapt to the needs of individuals.
I love spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, travelling, and playing “Bingo Blitz”.
