• Amanda Battle, Resident in Counseling

Today, it is more common than ever to find ourselves stretched thin constantly on the go. Life has an unique way of communicating, “hey, you’re not doing so well”. Who’s taking care of you? Stressors take a toll on the body and mind ultimately showing us that a “reset” is in order. These stressors could include, forgetfulness, difficulties processing information, relationship instability, restlessness, and un-fulfillment in preferred activities. While counseling is not a cure, it may be used to help navigate you through the stressors in life providing  you with the space to explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviors.

Do you find it hard to think clearly, maybe you’re overly worried about things beyond your control and second guess your decisions. You feel like no one understands you and you second guess yourself. Feelings of uncontrollable irritability, anxiety, or defeat? Amanda’s purpose, is to help you regain control over your life tackling the many obstacles life has to offer.

“Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”                   – James Baldwin
