    Full-Time Resident in Counseling Program

The Residency Program at Alabaster Counseling provides a comprehensive and enriching training experience. Clinicians will develop practical clinical skills and expand their professional knowledge.

    Compensation

Private practice operates on an insurance-based and fee-for-service model. Payment to the practice is made after documentation is submitted and insurance claims are processed. Payments for sessions are processed as claims are approved by insurance or payments are received from clients.

Compensation for clinicians is structured as W-2 employment. All applicable federal and state taxes are withheld from each paycheck. Paychecks are issued biweekly.

Residents will be paid a flat bi-weekly rate of $32 per hour for 30 hours per week, totaling an annual salary of $49,920. This structure requires residents to schedule 28 clients per week to achieve a minimum of 25 completed sessions, with the remaining hours reserved for administrative tasks, supervision, and required meetings.

    Caseload Requirements

The resident must schedule at least 28 clients a week. They must maintain a caseload of at least 25 clients seen each week. This accounts for an expected 10% client cancellation/no-show rate.

    • With 25 client hours each week, you’ll reach 2,000 direct hours in about 20 months.

    • Continue steady indirect work to complete 3,400 total hours by month 21

We offer flexible scheduling, so you can create a schedule that suits your lifestyle and needs. With that in mind, no sessions can be scheduled after 7:00 pm or on Sundays.
